‘The Strangers: Chapter 1’, a reboot of ‘The Strangers’ recently released in theatres across the globe including Pakistan.
Many movie lovers are excited about how this movie could shed some light on the background of the three masked assailants from the original film from 2008.
Backed by Lionsgate Films, Fifth Element Productions, and Frame Film, the movie exclusively had a theatrical release on May 17, 2024.
The movie revolves around Maya who drives across the country with her longtime boyfriend, Ryan, as the pair begin a new life together in the Pacific Northwest. Along the way, their car breaks down in Venus, Oregon and they are forced to spend the night in an isolated Airbnb home. Through the night, they are terrorized by three murderous masked strangers.
The film stars Madelaine Petsch as Maya, Froy Gutierrez as Ryan, Rachel Shenton, Gabriel Basso, Ema Horvath and Ella Bruccoleri.
After a theatrical release, the movie will be available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video. No final announcement has been made so far about the streaming rights but it expected that one of these might bag the rights.
