ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that May 9 was the darkest day in the history of Pakistan, the nation will never forget those criminals who desecrated the monuments of national heroes.
Sharing his special message on the one-year anniversary of the May 9 violence, the prime minister said that the nation has rejected the criminals who instigated violence and targeted security installations across the country.
The prime minister said that the criminals of May 9 created a law and order situation in the country for their own interests.
The Prime Minister promised that no one could stop the country from progressing. He promised that the government would take all measures to make the future of the nation bright.
Shehbaz Sharif said that May 9 has drawn a line between two ways of politics, one is to work for the protection and security of the state and the other is to attack the state for politics.
PM Shehbaz Sharif said that a school of thought consists of great sons of the nation, their great families, and patriotic people who shed their blood for the country.
On the other hand, such violent characters set up the security apparatus of these countries that have no respect for state institutions, constitutions, and the law of the land.
It is noteworthy that on May 9, 2023, following the brief arrest of PTI founder Imran Khan on corruption charges, violent protests erupted in several parts of the country, targeting defense institutions as well.
