Believe it or not but 2019’s ‘Engame’ was the last major Marvel movie that was a top-notch hit at the box office. Since then, Marvel Studios’ release movies have proven to be a major flop at the box office.
Well as per Bob Iger; Disney CEO, it is happening because of a lack of ‘supervision’ on set. There are reports that projects like Ant-Man 4 and Captain Marvel 3 are not happening. Let’s have a look at the movies which have been shelved by the Marvel studios:
According to Daniel Richtman, the anticipated Eternals, Ant-Man, and Captain Marvel sequels are no longer coming to the big screens. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige reportedly wanted to produce an Eternals sequel, but Iger allegedly does not, believing it’s a guaranteed box office flop.
Ant-Man 4
Ant Man 3 aka Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, was confirmed with the return of Rudd, Lilly, Douglas and Pfeiffer, alongside Majors as Kang in February 2023.
Captain Marvel 3
The sequel returned to big screens last year in November where Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree.
Eternals 2
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige reportedly wanted to produce an Eternals sequel, but Iger allegedly does not, believing it’s a guaranteed box office flop.
