The lifeless body of a Hindu girl was discovered hanging near the Osman Shah Mausoleum in Karachi’s Gudap area on Wednesday.
According to a private TV channel, police have confirmed the identity of the deceased as 15-year-old Kritika Kumari.
A murder case has been registered against three relatives of the girl at the Gudap police station following a complaint by the victim’s family. The suspects, named Gautam, Bhavna, and Raj, have been apprehended.
SSP Malir Tariq Mushtaq stated that the motive behind Kritika’s death remains unclear, and further investigations are underway.
It is worth noting that the Sindh province has a significant Hindu community. In the past, there have been numerous cases of Hindu girls converting to Islam for love. However, the Hindu community opposes this trend and strives to prevent their girls from converting to Islam and marrying Muslim boys.
Though it is not clear, the case of Kritika Kumari could potentially follow a similar pattern.
