Rawalpindi: The dental examination of PTI founder Imran Khan was completed in Adiala Jail on Saturday, as ordered by the court. The final decision on whether he will receive treatment in jail or at the hospital will be made by Aleema Khan, the sister of the PTI founder.Â
Under the court’s directive, Imran Khan’s teeth were examined in Adiala Jail by his personal physician, Dr. Samina Niazi, with government doctors also in attendance.
Imran Khan’s lawyer, Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry, spoke to the media outside Adiala Jail, stating that Khan had obtained permission from the NAB court for a medical check-up due to dental issues. Dr. Samina Niazi, his personal therapist, examined him in jail as per the court’s orders.
Chaudhry mentioned that Khan has delegated the authority to his sister Aleema Khan to discuss his health issue and make decisions. He said that a detailed medical examination report would be submitted to her.
“Aleema Khan will decide on whether Khan will be treated in jail or transferred to a hospital,” he added.
Chaudhry expressed gratitude to the jail superintendent for facilitating their entry with respect and said that Dr. Niazi conducted the initial check-up in the presence of government doctors, and Aleema Khan is expected to provide a detailed statement in this regard.
