Omair Rana, who is known for his excellent acting, is captivating audiences with his ‘Ishq Murshid‘ serial. But did you know he was offered two roles in the drama?
Lately, he appeared in a Hum News’ morning show where opened up about getting another option to play in Ishq Murshid but he said no to it. “I was offered Shibra’s father role and Shahmir’s father role, however, I preferred the politician one.”
“Of course, I could be Shibra’s father but I selected this character because it had a little more scope for me to enjoy,” Rana said by adding, “Also, I didn’t want to play the positive, honest, and good guy.”
According to the actor, our dilemma is, that we see the negative characters as total black. “We don’t want to see any good in that negative person, people don’t want to see why he became like that,” he maintained.
He also talked about selecting Ishq Murshid’s script and said that he didn’t select the drama because it was offering a politician’s character but because of other reasons including the team.
Talking about it, he said that he chose the drama because it was made under Farooq Rind’s direction, and Bilal Abbas was also in the cast. According to Omair Rana, Bilal Abbas is a brilliant actor.
Rana became famous through television from dramas like ‘Pyar Kay Sadqay,’ ‘Zan Mureed,’ ‘Dil Na Umeed to Nahi,’ ‘Sange Mar Mar, and ‘Sang E Mah’.
