Training now mandatory to obtain arms license in Pakistan

The federal government has decided to make training mandatory for the issuance and renewal of arms licenses.

According to details, a two-day training will be required before obtaining an arms license from the federal district administration or the Ministry of Interior.

Instead of a character certificate, the license will be issued and renewed against the training certificate.

The training will be given to the aspirants at the shooting range of Islamabad police and licenses will be issued upon its successful completion.

For a nominal fee, the people can also come to the shooting range for shooting matches or the use of weapons and arms.

Meanwhile, a separate fee will be charged to the candidate for the training.
