Influencer turned actress Romaisa Khan has opened up about her struggles with grief and depression.
Romaisa started her career through Dubsmash and TikTok and later on starred in dramas like Chand Tara, Hadsa, and Noor. She has also made her film debut with John star Aashir Wajahat which was released earlier this year.
The Paristaan actress was a guest on a podcast with Rija and shared her struggles with grief and depression and revealed that just a few years back she would not care about her sadness or grief.
According to Khan, she would ignore her feelings or brush them under a carpet so she could feel normal. However, this started weighing on her and those feelings later on came back with a vengeance.
For her, thus taking time to grief or feel sad is important. She also shared that she would get anxious and felt anxiety some time back when people would ship her with her co-stars.
“I am a girl who wants to get married later on in life and I would not want to explain these internet couple ships to my family and that is what gave me anxiety,” Romaisa said by adding, “But now I am slowly learning to cope with it.”
