The hearing of the alleged illegal marriage case against the former chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi has been adjourned till November 8.
On Tuesday, Islamabad Civil Judge Qudratullah heard the illegal marriage case, during which petitioner’s lawyer Rizwan Abbasi and witnesses appeared in the court.
During the hearing, the statements of the case witness and Khawar Maneka’s domestic servant Muhammad Latif were recorded, after which the statements of the four witnesses of the case were recorded. Latif said he is old employee of the Maneka family, that’s why he was allowed to move in the house freely and there were no restrictions on him. He claimed Imran Khan kept on meeting the former first lady in absence of Khawar Maneka.
Later, the court adjourned further hearing till December 8 after seeking arguments on the merits of the case.
The petitioner’s lawyers will make arguments on the admissibility of the case in the next hearing on Friday.
