Actor Ali Rehman Khan, who is playing the role of Guru Sattar in the drama serial ‘Guru’, revealed that playing an intersex character will ruin his image.
The Dayar-e-Dil actor was invited on Imran Ashraf’s Mazaq Raat and talked about how people from the industry tried to scare him off of playing Guru as many believed that he has established as a ‘hero’ now so such a character would ruin his image.
Ali said that he, however, found the character to be fantastic and went ahead with it. Guru currently on-air on Express Entertainment features Khan playing an intersex character and how he becomes a father to an abandoned child.
He also explained that the first time he stepped out on the road donning the costume and makeup, he felt what these individuals go through in their real lives. Walking in the streets and the gazes he had on him as a Guru made him feel for the struggles of real intersex people.
