Before her space expedition, she expressed her pride in representing Pakistan by unfurling the national flag in space.
Salim was a part of the Galactic 04 mission, traveling alongside three other space enthusiasts.
To honor her accomplishments, a party was arranged in a nearby hotel in New Mexico that featured an aerial parade and a ceremony where she received her wings. Pilots and staff intimately related to space travel, as well as key representatives from Virgin Galactic, attended the event.
Ms Salim received the wings of valor at the ceremony from the space shuttle commander in recognition of her participation in Virgin Galactic’s fourth space voyage. After a protracted wait, five shuttle missions have already been carried out in the last five months, according to the president of Commercial Space Lines, who called the development great news for space fans worldwide.
Namira Salim was among the initial 100 individuals to secure a ticket with Virgin Galactic back in 2006, and the price of her ticket has appreciated to $450,000 since then.
