LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) extended the judicial remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists Khadija Shah, Alia Hamza and others in the Jinnah House attack case till September 9.
ATC Ijaz Ahmed Buttar conducted the hearing as Khadija Shah, Alia Hamza, and other accused were presented before the court. Jail authorities produced the accused after their judicial remand expired.
The challan of the case against Khadija Shah, Alia Hamza and others was presented in the prosecution branch. The investigating officer said the prosecution is examining the challan.
 The court issued an order to extend the judicial remand of the accused till September 9.
The suspects are accused of allegedly creating a law and order situation and attacking the Jinnah House in Lahore following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Sarwar Road Police had registered a case against the accused women under different sections, including Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
On the other hand, Gulberg police had also registered a case against Khadija and others for setting ablaze the Askari Towers and spreading chaos following former PM Imran Khan’s arrest.
Earlier this month, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore has extended the judicial remand Khadija Shah in the Askari Tower attack case.
The court extended her judicial remand for 14 more days and ordered police to present the accused again on August 21. The hearing could not be held as the prosecution lawyer was not present.
Khadija Shah is currently in jail on judicial remand. She is the daughter of former finance minister Salman Shah and a renowned fashion designer.
