‘Dream Girl 2’ featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday has been released today.
The movie is a sequel to ‘Dream Girl’ which was released in 2019 in which Khurrana plays a sexy female phone-sex operator named Pooja. The movie became a huge success and Ayushmann’s Pooja act received a lot of love and acceptance.
This time the plot of the film revolves around Karam and his girlfriend, played by Ananya Panday, dealing with a financial situation that prevents them from getting married. As a solution to the problem, Karam decides to moonlight as Pooja and marry the son of a wealthy businessman (Paresh Rawal). However, because Dream Girl as a premise can’t be so linear, the story has many subplots and characters that cross paths in some hilarious ways.

For the critics, Director Raaj Shaandilyaa has put together an ensemble that will remind the viewers of the early 2000 movies. The writing is also a mess of gags and jokes that were better left back to that era and won’t find much appeal to the current audience. According to the Indian critics, ‘Dream Girl 2’ is not completely a lost cause.
Apart from Khurrana and Pandey, the ensemble cast includes Seema Pahwa, Paresh Rawal, and Annu Kapoor. Overall, the experience of watching Pooja in her true element getting caught up in some crazy situations is quite fun. Â
