LAKKI MARWAT: Two brothers and their mother were killed over a property dispute in Peeran Tughalkhel area of Bannu district on Saturday, the police said.
Officials from the Miryakhel police station claimed that in their home, relatives shot and killed Sareed Ali Shah, 30, his brother Jalal Shah, 12, and mother Zartaj Bibi, 45.
According to reports, the attack injured Hilal Khan, 15, Aalia Bibi, 21, and Aarfeen Bibi, 18.
Injured In his initial complaint to the police, Hilal Khan said that he and other inmates were at their residence when the main gate was knocked on. He claimed that as soon as he opened the gate, his brother Sareed Ali was shot and killed.
“At the same time, our cousins, Mehad, Farhad and Sajid, all brothers, entered our house and opened fire on other inmates, killing my brother and mother,” he claimed.
He told the police he along with his sister, Aarfeen Bibi and sister-in-law, Aalia Bibi were injured.
The police said the deceased and the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, where the bodies were handed over to relatives after completing medico-legal formalities. They said they had registered a case against the alleged killers and began investigation.
