The highly anticipated Barbie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling is now out, and everyone’s talking about the Barbieland.

Plot
The viewers can see Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling take on the roles of Barbie and Ken in the comedy movie. The film follows Barbie and Ken as they leave Barbie Land to travel to the real world. While in the real world, they go on a self-discovery journey.

Besides Robbie and Gosling, the rest of the ensemble cast includes America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, Will Ferrell, Emma Mackey, Nicola Coughlan, Simu Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Michael Cera, and many others.

Filmmaker Greta Gerwig’s female-fueled movie opened to a historic $155 million domestically. It came in well ahead of an expected $90 million to $110 million and helped fuel one of the biggest weekends in history.
International collection
Barbie — which brings to life Mattel’s iconic fashion doll — is also strutting to big numbers overseas. The movie launched to an impressive $182 million from 70 markets for a global bow of $337 million against a $145 million production budget.
It scored the biggest opening ever for a WB title in major markets, including Mexico ($22.3 million), Brazil ($15.9 million) and Australia ($14.6 million). The U.K. led with $22.9 million, the biggest showing for the studio since the pandemic. Barbie wasn’t expected to make a big splash in Asian markets, although it did do better than expected in China with $8.2 million.
Will ‘Barbie’ be on Netflix?
Unfortunately, Barbie will not be available to stream on Netflix. However, there are other online streaming platforms that might have taken streaming rights of the movie.
Where is Barbie streaming?
Barbie is being distributed by Warner Bros., who owns Max after their takeover of HBO and HBO Max. Therefore, Barbie will have its official release on the ‘Max app’.
