KOTLI: At least nine people have died and many others were injured, as a result of a tragic traffic accident in Azad Kashmir’s district.
According to rescue sources, a bus of pilgrims fell into a ditch at a town on the outskirts of Kotli, as a result of which nine people died and many others were injured.

Rescue sources said that the accident took place while cutting a curve due to high speed, while those killed and injured in the accident belong to the Gujranwala district of Punjab, who were returning home after the end of Urs celebrations in Nerian Sharif.
Commissioner Mirpur Chaudhary Shaukat said that the bodies and injured have been taken to Mirpur DHQ. He said that 13 injured have reached Mirpur hospital, out of which the condition of 3 is said to be critical.
Chaudhry Shaukat added that a large number of Jamia students also came to the hospital for blood donation.
