Pakistan Shaheens were penalized for ball tampering by umpire, Iknow Chaabi, during the sixth one-day against Zimbabwe Select on Saturday in Harare.
Shaheens were penalized five runs for their offense, giving the hosts five. Despite the controversy surrounding the ball-tampering incident, attention in the game went to Zimbabwe Select’s batters’ remarkable performance.
Innocent Kaia’s 92 crucial runs and Craig Ervine’s stunning 195 runs helped Zimbabwe Select to a huge total of 385/7.
The Pakistan Shaheens’ bowlers struggled to contain the Zimbabwean batsmen throughout the innings. Mohammad Ali, Qasim Akram, and Aamer Jamal managed to take two wickets each. However, Shahnawaz Dahani endured a difficult day, conceding 105 runs in his allotted 10 overs.

The Pakistan Shaheens will need to regroup and come up with a solid batting plan to take down the enormous score set by Zimbabwe Select despite the setback of the tampering penalty.
