ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Firdous Ashiq Awan has announced to leave the party.
While giving a press conference in Islamabad, Awan said that the state is the most important, not the politics, Pakistan is the first. Awan said that Imran Khan’s agenda has become a killer poison for Pakistan. “I am also a witness to his agenda, he uses people like tissue paper for his own interests and then throws them away,” she said.
Earlier this week, senior politician and former federal information minister Fawad Chaudhry also quit PTI and politics. He announced this on Twitter on Wednesday evening. He wrote: “Ref. My earlier statement where I unequivocally condemned 9th May incidents, I have decided to take a break from politics, therefore, I have resigned from party position and parting ways from Imran Khan.”

Fawad Chaudhry’s decision is a major blow to former prime minister Imran Khan and his party as he was not only the party’s main and senior leader but also the right hand of Iman Khan.Â
It should be noted that the exodus of politicians from PTI is continue after May 9 incidents and so far more than 30 leaders have quit the party.Â
