There is only one Pakistani who has been named among TIME100: The Most Influential People of 2023 and she is Sherry Rehman.
Pakistan’s Minister of Climate Change Sherry Rehman attended the U.N. climate summit in Egypt last year where she gave a voice to those who had lost everything to the floods.
Through impassioned speeches and tireless engagement in negotiations, she convinced many of the delegates that the blatant injustice must come to an end.Â
Moreover, if we talk about India then only two Indians made it to ‘TIME100: The Most Influential People of 2023’. The first one is SS Rajamouli, who has been named among the top ‘Pioneers’ of 2023.

The second Indian on the list is none other than Shah Rukh Khan. Khan has been named among the top ‘Icons’ of 2023. He is in August’s company as other ‘Icons’ in the list include Pedro Pascal, King Charles, Salman Rushdie, and Ke Huy Quan.
Time Magazine’s yearly list of the 100 most influential people in the world recognises people for changing the world, regardless of the consequences of their actions. The 2023 list which was released on Thursday categorised individuals into pioneers, leaders, titans, artists, innovators, and icons.
The list also highlights notable authors, comedians, sports stars and other influential figures. The list saw stars like Chilean-American actor Pedro Pascal, American actress Jennifer Coolidge, Black Panther actress Angela Bassett, rapper Doja Cat, Elvis actor Austin Butler, singer-songwriter Steve Lacy, comedian Ali Wong and actor Michael B. Jordan.
