Hollywood actress Amanda Bynes has been placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold in order to help her recuperate from a psychotic episode that left her wandering naked on the street.
When a passing automobile approached, Amanda Bynes communicated to the driver that she was coming out of a psychotic episode and immediately dialed 911.
The mental health professional member attended to Amanda right away after she was brought to a police station.
Right after, she was placed on a 5150 hold as the police call an involuntary 72-hour hospitalization so she could recover from her mental health condition and this period could be extended if the patients are a danger to themselves or others.

The episode happened about a year after she was released from conservatorship which lasted almost ten years.
Amanda’s mother took over the conservatorship in 2013 when Amanda Bynes started having problems with mental health. She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the same time.
