An official trailer of ‘The Boogeyman’ has been released so is its release date.
The upcoming horror film is based on the 1970s Stephen King story of the same name. Directed by Rob Savage, The Boogeyman is produced by Shawn Levy alongside frequent collaborators Dan Levine and Dan Cohen.
As per the film’s official synopsis, ‘The Boogeyman’ centers on high school student Sadie Harper and her younger sister Sawyer, who are reeling from the recent death of their mother and aren’t getting much support from their father, Will, a therapist who is dealing with his own pain.”

“When a desperate patient unexpectedly shows up at their home seeking help, he leaves behind a terrifying supernatural entity that preys on families and feeds on the suffering of its victims,” it added.

It stars Chris Messina as Will, Vivien Lyra Blair as Sawyer, Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets, The Book of Boba Fett) as Sadie, David Dastmalchian as Lester, Marin Ireland as Rita, and Madison Hu.
The Boogeyman was initially slated to premiere exclusively on Hulu, though was ultimately upgraded to a theatrical release. The film is currently scheduled to premiere later this year on June 2. It is based on King’s short story ‘The Boogeyman’, which was originally published in the March 1973 issue of the men’s magazine Cavalier.
