Telemart, one of Pakistan’s largest ecommerce marketplaces, has signed a partnership with OneLoad which is a social enterprise focusing on providing financial services to the poor, a press release said on Friday.
OneLoad operates a network of thousands of retailers across Pakistan to serve them as a financial services aggregator via its mobile app. Through this partnership, Telemart will provide access to thousands of OneLoad retailers to order from Telemart’s diverse product portfolio. This amalgamation of e-commerce and fintech will make OneLoad a powerful platform providing another revenue stream to its strong retailer base across Pakistan, courtesy of Telemart, the release added.
OneLoad retailers can now do more than just financial transactions on behalf of customers and build their inventory based on customer demand especially with basic electronic and cellular accessories. These include Mobile Phones, Gadgets, Accessories, USB flash drives, power chargers, phone covers and other countless products, it stated.
Both the companies believe that by bringing the ecommerce landscape to retailers at the bottom of the pyramid they can add another revenue stream to their business. OneLoad is positioned as a footfall generating app but is slowly moving towards packing more services into its platform to further empower the retailer. These include partnerships with agritech, and insurance tech in the pipeline. On the other hand, Telemart is already providing Islamic Insurance protection to customers against purchases made from the platform, it concluded.
