India and the U.S. are conducting a joint exercise amid the ongoing border standoff with China in Ladakh. Near the Indo-Chinese border, a joint India-US “Yudh Abhyas” (military exercise) is taking place.
Giving a strong message, the drills are going on in Uttarakhand’s Auli, just 95 km from the LAC. Images of troops from both countries sharing techniques in the Himalayas were released by the Army.
This joint drill focuses specifically on high-altitude and extremely cold warfare.
