SYDNEY: New Zealand captain Kane Williamson wins toss, opts to bat against Pakistan in 1st semi final of the World Cup T20 event. Both teams remained unchanged.

Speaking after the Toss, Kane Williamson said “we are gonna have a bat. Used surface. We’ve got the same team. It’s important we assess to the changing conditions quickly. Our focus is on this game.”
Babar Azam said “even we would have batted first. Same team. We are confident as a team and we’ll look to carry the momentum. They have quality players, we’ll try to be calm. We are trying to focus on this game.”

Commenting after the Toss, Mohammad Hafeez took to Twitter and said “Toss never decide result of game, but attitude does.”

The team which wins the first semi-final will face either England or India, who play in Adelaide on Thursday, in Sunday’s final.
Meanwhile, Chairman PTI Imran Khan, taking to Twitter, advised Babar Azam to fight till last ball.
