MUMBAI: Bollywood Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are reported to have welcomed a baby girl at HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday.

The couple got married in April this year in an intimate ceremony at their Mumbai residence Vastu and in June, Alia announced her pregnancy on her Instagram handle.
The newborn child is the crowning glory for an eventful year for the couple. In June, Alia took the world by surprise by announcing her pregnancy with a picture featuring Ranbir on her Instagram handle. It was just months after Ranbir and Alia got married.
Local media reports suggest Ranbir and Alia arrived at the hospital in the early hours and Neetu Kapoor, Soni Razdan and Shaheen Bhatt kept them company. Grandpa Mahesh Bhatt is over the moon, as are grandmas Neetu Kapoor and Soni Razdan. Speaking to ETimes, Mahesh Bhatt had shared his happiness ahead of welcoming his first grandchild. “Waiting for a new sun to rise. A fresh sparkling dew drop of life,” he had said.
It may be recalled that Ranbir and Alia had been prepping for the baby’s arrival for months. Speaking about the same, Ranbir had said to Bollywood Bubble that Alia and he were kind of fighting over a book that Alia had read and wanted him to read as well. Ranbir on the other hand said, “Listen, books are not gonna teach us how we are gonna raise our child, let us experience it when it happens.”
