FIFA World Cup 2022: What facilities will be available for audience??

Hafsa Abdul Qayoom by Hafsa Abdul Qayoom
November 21, 2022

Only 20 days are left before the FIFA World Cup 2022 begins, the global event will be played in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, for which a total of 32 teams, including the host team Qatar, have qualified for this tournament, which is in the Middle East.

For the first time, football will be the biggest event.

FIFA World Cup 2022

The FIFA World Cup 2022 will be played in eight beautiful and modern football stadiums in Qatar from November 21 to December 18 this year. From November 21 to December 2, four group matches will be played on a daily basis. At least 32 teams will play three matches in their respective groups.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the pre-quarterfinal stage which will be played from December 3 to 6.

On December 9 and 10, the top eight teams of the event will face each other in the quarter-final stage. While the semi-finals of the mega event will be held on December 13 and 14 in which the winners of each quarter-final will participate. The final of the World Cup will be played on December 18 in which both the semi-final winning teams will compete for the trophy.

Around 1.2 million fans are expected to arrive in the football world cup starting from November 20, let’s see what facilities will be available to the fans in the FIFA world cup played in Qatar.

Air-conditioned football stadium

According to international media reports, it will be the most expensive FIFA World Cup in history to be played from November 21 to December 18, 2022. This will be the first FIFA World Cup to be played in winter.

According to reports, although the World Cup will be played in winter, Qatar is one of the warmest countries in the world in terms of climate and hence the daytime temperatures are often high even in winter. Therefore, considering the weather in Qatar, all football stadiums have been made air-conditioned, for which several billions of dollars have been spent.

Issuance of Hayya card

Hayya card is also known as Fan ID. This is a type of document issued by the Government of Qatar. This document has been released exclusively for the FIFA World Cup. This card is a must to watch any FIFA World Cup match.

To watch the match you must have Hayya card and tickets for that match only after that you will be allowed to enter the stadium to watch the match. The specialty of this card is that once you have taken this card, then you don’t need to take it again and again. This card will be useful for every match.

Haya Card, with a valid match ticket, stadium entry, entry into Qatar for international fans, access to free public transport on match days (both shuttle buses and metro), and smart travel planning via Haya Mobile will provide

Exemption from negative report of COVID

This year, the host country of the Football World Cup, Qatar, has exempted the fans coming to participate in the event from the negative report of the coronavirus test.

A gift of a lifetime

The Visa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar has said that Muslim fans coming to watch the FIFA World Cup will be able to pay Umrah.

According to the administration, Umrah visa will be free for Hiya Card holders, all expenses of e-Visa will be borne, however medical insurance will be mandatory for fans.

No restrictions will be imposed on visa holders, they can enter the country whenever they want and leave whenever they want.

Alcohol consumption allowed

Qatar and the FIFA Organizing Committee have signed an agreement under which the consumption of alcohol is also allowed in some tourist areas.

Homosexuals allowed entering Qatar

FIFA issued an advisory last month asking hotels in Qatar to treat their guests indiscriminately or face termination of contracts, after which hotels were approached and asked not to ban homosexuality, to which only 3 out of 69 hotels responded that they would not allow gays in their hotel.

Later, there were 20 hotels that said we would allow accommodation but with a condition that the couple did not publicly reveal that they are homosexual, while other hotels did not have any condition on homosexuality.
