ISLAMABAD: The funeral prayer and cremation of senior journalist Arshad Sharif who was martyred in Kenya will be held in Islamabad today. A large number of famous personalities will participate in the funeral prayer.
According to the details, Arshad Sharif’s body reached Pakistan at 1 pm on Tuesday. Yesterday, an 8-member medical board was constituted for Arshad Sharif’s post-mortem at PIMs Hospital Islamabad.
On the request of the family of the slain journalist Arshad Sharif, 2 doctors were included in the post-mortem. The post-mortem included an X-ray and CT scan of the dead body. The forensic report takes a few days.

On Sunday night, Kenyan police shot Arshad Sharif in the head on the Magadi highway in Nairobi, Kenya, as a result of which the senior journalist was martyred. The cause of the accident is attributed to a mistake in identification.
