Syed Tuba, the former wife of TV host and Islamic scholar Aamir Liaquat Hussain has reacted to the High Court’s decision of performing an autopsy on Hussain.
The passing away of the popular TV host under extremely suspicious conditions has made his fans and authorities concerned about the cause of his death.
Amidst the debates, a petitioner filed the complaint that the host was a popular personality, hence, his post-mortem should be done. After the petition, the court ordered the authorities to conduct an autopsy of the deceased.
Now, Liaquat’s former wife Tuba raised her concerns over the autopsy of the host and said, “If the authorities deemed to perform a postmortem examination of Aamir Liaquat, perhaps it would’ve been better to do so on the day of his passing.”

She concluded the post by saying, “To exhume his mortal remains, for a postmortem examination more than a week after his departure, is extremely distressful for those grieving this loss. However, I trust in Allah’s Will. I believe Allah pak is the best disposer of our affairs. May Allah pak make this easy for the deceased and the acquaintances Aameen.”

Lately, Bushra Iqbal. Liaquat’s first former wife with whom he shared two children also urged people to be vocal about it as the autopsy is a painful procedure for dead people and Islam doesn’t allow it.
She wrote on her Twitter, “All of you who are the fans and admirers of late Amir Liaquat Hussain, are you in favor of postmortem of Dr. Aamir Liaquat, do you want his body to go through this procedure? Do they want their contentment after giving the torture and pain to the dead body? Shari’ah doesn’t does not allow this act, dismemberment of the dead and exhumation of the grave is forbidden in Islam. Allah is watching everything. #AamirLiaquat”
For those referencing possible murder: According to the Civil Surgeon’s external examination, there were no signs of bruises, fractures, injuries and violence marks on the body of the deceased. From this point of view as well a post-mortem would be purposeless. #AamirLiaquat
