Abrar-ul-Haq is not the only one who has accused Karan Johar of plagiarism. The famous Bollywood director has once again been accused of stealing the storyline of a movie from a fellow author.
According to Indian media reports, an Indian author named Vishal A. Singh has claimed that Karan Johar and Dharma Productions have copied his written story and used it in his upcoming movie Jugjugg Jeeyo.
It is to be noted that Jugjugg Jeeyo is the same movie that has copied Haq’s famous ‘Nach Punjaban’ song. Vishal Singh shared a series of tweets with extracts from his script which he sent to Dharma Productions.

The author claimed that he had sent excerpts of his script to Dharma Productions under the title ‘Bunny Rani’, which they later turned into Jugjugg Jeeyo, He said that even the production did reply to him, however, this year Singh came to know that the Dharma production has stolen his script for its upcoming movie.

In his tweet, Vishal tagged Johar and Dharma Productions and wrote that had registered a story titled Bunny Rani in January 2020. “I had officially mailed Dharma in February 2020 for an opportunity to co-produce with them. I even got a reply from them. And they have taken my story.. and made JugJugg Jeeyo. Not fair Karan Johar,” he tweeted.

Singh also said that there are many instances in the Hindi film industry where scripts are used without the knowledge of the author. However, he said that he will raise his voice against his dishonesty.
It may be recalled that the film Jugjugg Jeeyo, directed by Karan Johar and produced under the banner of Dharma Productions, will be released on June 24, 2022, which will star Kiara Advani, Varun Dhawan, Neetu Singh, and Anil Kapoor in the leading roles.
