ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he spent most of his life as a sportsperson in the west, where he saw Muslims suffering from Islamophobia but they never challenged the events against Islamophobia.
According to details, the prime minister in his address to the OIC Conference thanked the Foreign Ministers of the OIC member countries for their visit and said that it was a great pleasure to host the OIC Conference on the occasion of Pakistan Day.
He said that the world was silent on the incidents of Islamophobia, adding that religion was linked to terrorism which was wrong. The prime minister said that Muslims in the west were more affected by linking Islam with terrorism.
“Islam has nothing to do with terrorism or extremism. Muslims in every corner of the globe are facing Islamophobia. The purpose of entering politics 25 years ago was to raise a voice against it,” he said by adding, “The world should know that Islam is a peaceful religion. The state of Madinah has been a guarantee of peace for every human being.”

He said that he spent most of his life as an athlete in the west, where he saw Muslims suffering from Islamophobia. “Unfortunately, Muslims did not challenge Islamophobia. There is only one Islam in the world that belongs to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH),” he said by adding, “In Islam, the supremacy of law and justice is paramount. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that if my daughter had committed theft, she would have been punished. No one in Madinah was above the law.”
In addition, PM Imran Khan said in his address that the United Nations has declared March 15 as the International Day Against Islamophobia.
