LAHORE: A rickshaw driver and his accomplice have allegedly raped a woman and her daughter late last night near LDA Avenue.
A case has been registered within the limits of Police Station Chung in Lahore. According to Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar, the rickshaw driver and his accomplice fled after raping the woman, however, the rickshaw has been seized.
CCPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar said that teams have been formed to arrest the accused and they will be arrested soon. The victim will be given justice, they maintained.
A Lahore police spokesman said that Police Station Chung, gender cell, and investigation teams have collected evidence. The woman will be taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
It may be recalled that the rickshaw driver and his accomplice had allegedly raped the female passenger in front of her daughter. According to sources, a 35-year-old resident of Vehari along with her 15-year-old daughter got out of a passenger car at Thokar Niaz Beg. The victim had taken a rickshaw with her daughter to the Saddar Cantt area of Lahore.

According to police sources, the rickshaw driver turned the 35-year-old woman and her daughter around and took them inside LDA Avenue. The rickshaw driver and his accomplice allegedly raped the woman in front of her daughter in the dark of night. According to police sources, the rickshaw driver and his accomplice raped the woman and fled the scene.
