A 7-year-old girl working as a maid in a house in Multan’s Shah Rukn Alam Colony was reportedly sexually assaulted by a man whose identity is still unknown.
The administration at Nishtar Hospital said that the girl was brought in last night, in poor condition, and the police were immediately notified, according to G News on Wednesday.
The girl’s mother told the police that she had sent her daughter to work at the home of a woman, whose name was not revealed, about a month ago. However, on Monday, two days ago, the woman returned the girl to her mother. The mother noticed that her daughter was frightened, silent, and visibly upset.
The girl’s mother said that her daughter had been raped at the woman’s house. The police have filed a case against the woman based on the mother’s complaint.
In a separate incident, a district and sessions court in Karachi on Tuesday sentenced a man to 14 years in prison for sharing inappropriate pictures of his wife online. The prosecution stated that Faizan had sent the photos to his wife’s brother through social media and used them to blackmail her.
