ISLAMABAD: The evacuation plan for Pakistani nationals in Sudan is still underway as a ship carrying 37 individuals arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. Upon arrival, the Pakistanis were greeted by CG in Jeddah, Khalid Majid. The ship’s arrival marks a milestone as it brings the total number of evacuated Pakistanis to 700.

Earlier on Tuesday, Foreign Minister Bilawal had announced that the Pakistani government, in coordination with the Ambassador Meer Bahrose Regi’s team in Khartoum and Port Sudan, has been working tirelessly to facilitate the stay and evacuation of Pakistanis who are still in Sudan.

Foreign Office expressed gratitude to the government of Saudi Arabia for its support and hospitality towards the evacuated nationals.
Foreign Minister Bilawal added that Pakistan remains engaged with friendly countries in the region, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to facilitate the evacuation process.
As per latest reports, the situation in Sudan remains dire, with ongoing conflict and unrest causing displacement and danger to many citizens.
