KARACHI: Pakistan Coastguards seized a massive amount of 3,180 kilogrammes of cannabis in Pasni, Balochistan.
The coastguards acted on an anonymous tip-off that a large amount of narcotics was being smuggled in the coastal town. As a result, Director-General Pakistan Coastguards instructed the concerned commander to increase vigilance and checking in the area.
The coastguards conducted a raid in a busy market in Shadikaur near Pasni and seized 3,180 kg of high-quality cannabis. They also confiscate three single-cabin vehicles and one motorcycle.
The narcotics were likely to be smuggled abroad and were worth Rs17 billion in the international market. DG Coastguards had appreciated the personnel for their hard work and performance.
