Lahore: Due to heavy fog in various areas of Punjab and Sindh, flight operations have been severely affected for the third day as well.
Today (Friday) 26 flights have been canceled after which the total number of canceled flights stands at 89 in three days and more than 200 have been affected.
According to aviation authorities, international flights to Lahore and Sialkot are waiting for departure as the weather improves.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Flight PK248 from Dammam to Lahore and Flight PK244 from Dammam to Sialkot landed in Islamabad.
Not a single flight could land at Sialkot airport till 8:30 am.
The aviation authorities stated that Saudi Air flight SV738 from Jeddah to Lahore was delayed by 12 hours, while flights ER522, ER523, PK306, and PK307 to Karachi and Lahore were canceled.
Two flights from Lahore to Abu Dhabi, a Saudi Air flight from Jeddah to Lahore, a PIA flight from Lahore to Jeddah PK969, and Lahore to Quetta PK322, and PK323 were also canceled.
Lahore-Doha PK279, PK280, and Karachi to Quetta PK310, and PK311 were also cancelled.
Karachi to Islamabad ER502, ER503, ER504, PK207, PK208, PK369, and Islamabad to Riyadh PK753, PK754 and Dammam to Islamabad PK246 have also been cancelled.
Dubai-Islamabad flights PK234 and Multan to Jeddah PK839 and 840 are included in the canceled schedule.
It is pertinent to note that 63 flights from different airports and airlines in Pakistan have been canceled during the last two days.
