Girl allegedly abducted, gang-raped in Karachi

KARACHI: A 22-year old girl, found unconscious in Karachi’s Clifton area, has asserted that she was sexually abused throughout the night after she was abducted the night before.

According to details, the victim’s identity has not been disclosed yet however the district police have informed that the girl worked for a private organization. The victim told the police that she was abducted the other night by a car that three men were riding in.

In this regard, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) for Clifton Zahida Perveen has informed that a complaint has been lodged and the victim would be set for medico-legal to ascertain the claim.

ASP Clifton further said three men allegedly gang-raped her and dumped her in a Clifton park after she was rendered unconscious. “The CCTV footage of the radius where she was found is being ushered to investigate the case,” she added.

Earlier last week, five alleged culprits kidnapped a woman with her three children and gang-raped her in Sindh’s Khairpur. The incident transpired in the Sobho Dero Police jurisdiction where the woman was allegedly abducted by five culprits who then sexually assaulted her.
