WANA: Militants equipped with heavy arms reportedly attacked a police station in South Waziristan, killing two policemen while injuring three others.
Reports gathered by multiple sources suggest several militants attacked Barmal Police station last night, located close to the Afghan border in South Waziristan. The militants used heavy arms in their attack, killing 2 policemen and injuring 3 others, besides setting the building of police station and a vehicle on fire.
The policemen who lost lives in the attack were identified as Constable Hameedullah and Constable Farmanullah.

Reports also suggest that before fleeing from the scene, the militants took away a government vehicle and nearly two dozens machine guns.
It is pertinent to mention here that the recent surge in terrorists’ attack across KP has sent a wave of concern among government corridors, with both civilian and military leaderships pledging to support provincial government in its effort to curb the menace of terrorism.

Just last month, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah chaired a meeting to discuss various proposal aimed at rooting out terrorism activities. The steering committee also reviewed the terrorist attacks in KP particularly Swat.
