KARACHI: The number of people killed in a fire incident in a passenger coach near Nooriabad has risen to 18, including children and women.
According to details, a terrible accident took place yesterday near Nooriabad due to a fire in a passenger coach. Among the 18 dead people are 8 children and 9 women. Initially, the dead were shifted to Sohrab Goth Mortuary.
According to Sector Commander Motorway Police, there were 55 people in the passenger coach, out of which 52 were passengers and 3 were bus crew members. The sector commander gave instructions to bring the dead to the native area.

As a result of the terrible fire, the injured were shifted to hospitals in Hyderabad. The passenger coach which was the victim of the accident on the M9 Motorway was going from Karachi to Khairpur Nathan Shah.
The police said that the people in the bus were flood victims. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and has sought a report from the authorities. Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon expressed grief over the loss of precious lives.
