KARACHI: After Nasla Tower, 16 more residential projects in the city turned out to be illegal.
Magistrate of the airport in this regard issued a statement that the sale and purchase of the said 16 residential projects should be stopped and legal action would be taken against those who did not comply with the orders. According to him, residential projects are being constructed in the area of Deh Mehran district airport by manipulating 40 acres of land.
It is to be noted that Deputy Commissioner Malir had revealed that he had taken 40 acres of land through forgery. Deputy Commissioner Malir had also sent details of 16 illegal buildings to the Sindh government.
Deputy Commissioner Malir Ghanwar Leghari wrote a letter to the Secretary Land Utilization in which he said that the record of 40 acres of government land in Malir village Mehran had been changed by forgery.
According to the letter, builders have started housing projects on the record changed in 1998. The public has been barred from investing in these projects by government agencies and the Revenue Department, Malir, and those who invest money are responsible for their own losses.
