MOSCOW: At least 15 people lost lives as a result of a blaze that broke out at night in the Polygon nightclub, Kostroma, a riverside city in western Russia.
Local witnesses and sources said the fire spread over an area of 3.5 thousand square meters, 250 people were evacuated. However, 15 people died and dozens other injured.

The prosecutor’s office of the Kostroma region confirmed that the use of pyrotechnics was one of the likely causes of the fire.
