A passenger injured in a bus accident in the Zhob area of Balochistan has accused the driver of deliberately driving the coach into a ravine, it emerged on Friday.
In a video statement, the passenger, injured in the Dhana Sar area near Sherani, said the coach driver was transporting containers of Iranian diesel to Peshawar, and that these containers were stopped at a checkpoint in Sherani.
According to the injured passenger, a heated argument allegedly took place between the driver and passengers over the issue.
He claimed that after the dispute, the driver intentionally drove the coach into the ravine.
It should be noted that earlier today, a bus accident in Zhob, Balochistan resulted in the deaths of 40 people, including women and children. The Chief Minister of Balochistan has ordered an investigation into the incident.
Police said the bus fell into a ravine in the Dhana Sar area of Zhob, resulting in multiple deaths and injuries.
Authorities said that the accident was caused by brake failure. Injured passengers, including women and children, were shifted to DHQ Hospital.
In a statement, Balochistan Chief Minister’s media aide Shahid Rind said 40 people were killed and 8 others injured in the crash, which occurred in a border area between Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
