ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr. Zafar Mirza has rejected all rumours emerging across social media related to specific medicines that help in curing coronavirus disease.
In a statement on the social media platform Twitter, Mirza said that some local doctors are recommending the use of specific medicines for the prevention of the COVID-19 virus which has been sweeping across the world and taking a toll on human lives and health.
Rebuffing all news against medication for the novel coronavirus, the health adviser noted that according to the World Health Organisation (WHO), there there is no evidence that current medicine can prevent or cure the disease.
“Some local Drs are recommending use of specific medicines for prevention of #COVIDー19. Not right! Here is what WHO says, “there is no evidence that current medicine can prevent or cure the disease.” “WHO does not recommend any medicine as a prevention or cure for COVID-19.”
