The official teaser of “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups” was released on January 8, 2026, marking the 40th birthday of Kannada superstar Yash, and quickly set social media abuzz.
The teaser introduces Yash in the role of Raya, a ruthless and stylish gangster, presented in a dark and intense avatar.
It opens with a tense scene at a cemetery during the funeral of a gang lord’s son, where the silence is broken by Raya’s dramatic arrival.
In a striking moment, he plants an explosive in an unconventional manner, triggering a powerful blast.
One of the teaser’s standout moments features a shirtless, tattooed Yash donning an oversized black overcoat, wielding a Thompson machine gun, and delivering the line, “Daddy’s home,” which has already become iconic among fans.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film showcases a gritty neo-noir aesthetic set in 1990s Goa.
“Toxic” is a bilingual project shot in Kannada and English, with music composed by Ravi Basrur and high-octane action choreographed by Hollywood stunt expert JJ Perry of John Wick fame.
The film stars Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026, setting up a major box-office clash with Ranveer Singh’s “Dhurandhar 2.”
