A tragic incident unfolded in Hyderabad, Sindh, where a woman was tortured to death by her son and daughter-in-law following a dispute over garbage disposal.
According to the police, the victim, identified as Kulsoom, was killed in the Gujarati Pare area of the city. The argument reportedly began when she stopped her daughter-in-law from discarding garbage improperly. In response, Kulsoom’s elder son, Muhammad Ali, and his wife brutally assaulted her, leading to her death.
The victim’s younger son, Sajjad, revealed that his mother had previously been subjected to similar abuse by Muhammad Ali and his wife. Kulsoom’s body has been transported to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination and further legal procedures.
Meanwhile, two separate shooting incidents rocked Peshawar, leaving several dead and injured.
In the Tehkal area, five people were killed and one injured when two rival groups opened fire on a car due to personal enmity. A heavy police presence arrived at the scene, but the suspects fled before being apprehended.
In another incident on the Charsadda Motorway, three individuals were killed and two others injured when unknown assailants targeted them while crossing the motorway. Police suspect personal enmity as the motive behind the attack.
The injured and deceased were transported to Lady Reading Hospital for medical treatment and legal formalities. Police are actively investigating both cases and working to apprehend the perpetrators.
