A 20-year-old woman was seriously injured after allegedly jumping from a fourth-floor window of Hotel Santosh Residency in Vishwas Nagar, Delhi, following an argument with her 22-year-old companion.
According to Delhi Police, a PCR call was received at around 1pm through the Farsh Bazar police station. The woman was immediately shifted to hospital, where she remains under treatment.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Media reports state that the woman is a resident of Sundar Nagar, Delhi, and had checked into the hotel with her 22-year-old boyfriend, who is from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh.
The incident reportedly took place on 13 February 2026 at approximately 1pm, when, following a dispute, the woman allegedly jumped from the fourth-floor window. Fortunately, she landed on cardboard boxes, which are believed to have cushioned the fall. Although she sustained serious injuries, her life was saved and she is currently receiving medical care.
