Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has made it clear that PTI would not hold any protest during the Champions Trophy that disrupted the big sports event in the country.
In a private TV program, Raja rejected all speculations and said: “We will not disrupt the Champions Trophy, we have no such intention.”
Regarding dialogue with the government, he said PTI tried to move towards the truth and demanded the formation of a commission on the May 9 and November 26 incidents, but the government is not interested in finding out the truth.
He said that the current system was being run based on intimidation and coercion, however, PTI would continue to raise the voice for truth. “They want to suppress our voice through coercion,” he added.
The PTI leader said on February 8, that they would hold a public rally in Swabi and would raise our voices for justice and against the injustices with PTI. However, he clearly said that PTI had no intention to sabotage the Champion Trophy to be held in Pakistan next month.
