Love is blind – a phrase often heard and read, but rarely witnessed in such extraordinary ways. Stories of love breaking societal norms frequently emerge, challenging belief.
According to a report by News 18 on Tuesday, a 36-year-old woman abandoned her husband and six children to elope with a beggar. The mother of six fell for a beggar known as “Chhote Pandit,” who frequented their neighborhood asking for alms. Her husband, 45-year-old Raju, has filed a case under Section 87 of the Indian Penal Code, and local police have launched an investigation into the matter.
Raju revealed that he lived with his wife, Rajeshwari, and their six children. Over time, he noticed Chhote Pandit, a beggar dressed in tattered clothes, frequently visiting their neighborhood. Raju even caught his wife conversing with the beggar on multiple occasions. Suspicion deepened when Rajeshwari was once caught speaking to him on the phone.
According to Raju, on the afternoon of January 3, Rajeshwari left home under the pretext of buying vegetables but never returned. Upon checking, Raju discovered that money, saved from the sale of their buffalo, had gone missing. This led him to suspect that Chhote Pandit might have persuaded his wife to elope with him.
Raju filed a complaint, and police registered an FIR under Section 87 of the Indian Penal Code. Efforts are underway to locate Chhote Pandit based on statements from local residents.
The incident has not only shocked the family but has also become the talk of the town, highlighting yet another unconventional love story that challenges norms and expectations.
