Bajpayee emphasized that Rajput was not “a mad guy,” countering the misconceptions that often surrounded the late actor. He also reflected on the emotional toll of Rajput’s passing, revealing that the news hit him hard, leaving him in a state of sadness for three months.
He remembered their discussions about the politics of the film industry, where he advised Rajput to cultivate a thick skin to survive the pressures and rejections that often accompany a career in Bollywood. “I always told him to keep thick skin nahi toh yeh jaan maar denge tumhari (otherwise, they will take your life),” Bajpayee recalled, highlighting the harsh realities of the industry that can overwhelm even the most talented individuals.
