Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was out of danger, following stab injuries received in a scuffle with an intruder at his home in Mumbai. The actor underwent two surgeries at Lilavati hospital and the doctors released a statement sayhing that he was doing well after the surgery.
It is worth mentioning that Khan is one of the most successful actors in BollyWood with over 70 films and television series. He is the son of former India cricket captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore.
What happened?
Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his house in Mumbai by an unidentified person who was reportedly attempting a robbery at his place.
Khan, 54, was taken to a nearby hospital in Mumbai at about 3:30am on Thursday with six injuries, two deeper than the rest and one close to his spine, ANI news agency said, quoting the hospital sources.
Khan, along with his wife Kareena Kapoor and two children, lives in an apartment in the western Mumbai suburb of Bandra.
Who attacked Saif Ali Khan?
As per a statement released by Kareena’s team, Saif Ali Khan was attacked by a man who entered their house to attempt burglary.
According to police, the man entered the actor’s home through fire escape stairs and attempted a robbery at the house. He ran away after Saif fought back. A Mumbai Police official further said that the accused has been identified, and ten teams have been constituted to arrest him.
