The Pakistan men’s cricket team is set to face arch-rivals India in their second Group A match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday. The highly anticipated World Cup clash will begin at 7:30 PM PST.
However, the weather poses a potential challenge. According to the current forecast, there is a significant chance of rain in New York on Sunday. Accuweather predicts a 51 percent chance of rain at 11 AM local time, just half an hour after the match is scheduled to start.
Despite the possibility of rain interruptions, there remains a strong chance that fans could still witness a complete 20-over-a-side match.

Both India and Pakistan are former T20 World Cup champions. India won the inaugural tournament in 2007 by defeating Pakistan in the final in Johannesburg, while Pakistan claimed the title in the subsequent edition in 2009. Neither team has won the trophy since, although Pakistan reached the final in the most recent edition in 2022 but fell short.
